Hounslow Falls Prevention and Bone Health Service are looking to recruit a Therapy Assistant to work across the borough within clinic settings and the community.

You may currently be in a similar role or have related experience and wish to progress your career specialising in Falls prevention.

Ideally you will hold a level 4 Assistant Practitioner qualification or have comparable knowledge, skills and experience from practice.

The role is within a newly created clinical team with scope for personal and professional development.

You would be working alongside Physiotherapists and an Occupational Therapist along with Nursing, Dietetic and Podiatry colleagues to deliver a multidisciplinary approach to Falls prevention.

The role will include, but is not limited to the below.

Carry out assessments as agreed with the clinical team and within the assistant practitioner scope.

Providing feedback to patients and the clinical team with regards to risk, physical and occupational performance in relation to Falls.


Autonomously deliver interventions including, but not limited to, individual and group strength and balance programs and multidisciplinary falls prevention plans.

Provide instruction, direction and guidance during assessment and intervention and adjust delivery based on clients' needs and presentation.

To evaluate effectiveness of the intervention in discussion with the clinical team, and modify accordingly.

Carry a designated caseload autonomously as agreed with clinical team and within scope of an assistant practitioner
