We now have an exciting opportunity for an administrative apprentice to join our highly talented Learning, Engagement, Access and Participation team.


Purpose of the Post:

A key role in the LEAP Department.

The post holder will be responsible for the administration of our core programmes, including Dance Track, Learning and Participation work, Ambassadors, Access and all other outreach projects.

In addition, acting as a facilitator and 'face of BRB' when dealing with external stake-holders, project participants, parents and carers.


Key Relationships:

Learning and Participation Manager, Engagement and Access Manager (currently on Maternity leave), Participation coordinator, Engagement Coordinator, Dance artists and musicians, company management, schools, ballet schools, venues, parents, children, teachers, chaperones, volunteers and dance agencies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and administration of projects as directed by the Participation Manager.
  • Coordinate events including room /studio bookings, liaison with parents, participants, artists and chaperones.
  • Assist in the administration of the Dance Track programme, including compiling packs for schools, registers, sign in and out sheets, health and safety forms.
  • Ensure project information is clear, accurate and regularly updated and channels of communication are clear.
  • Be able to effectively multitask the various elements of various projects within the department simultaneously eg. Administration, scheduling, liaising with venue staff.
  • Ensure appropriate administrative tasks are up to date, accurate records including data entry, collation of personal detail forms/media consents/uniform resource audit, ordering and distribution.
  • Collection of fees for tickets, uniform, merchandise and classes
  • Ensure all necessary health and safety and safeguarding processes are in place for each project including child licensing and behavioural policies (where required)
  • Undertake chaperone duties as and when required.
  • Keep schedules and diaries up to date, writing minutes and monthly reports where required.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals and communities, as well as other stakeholders and organisations who have an interest in the work of the LEAP department
  • Devise and create information packs.
  • Provide support and information to artists
  • Deal with queries or concerns with tact and sensitivity forwarding to the appropriate manager as and when required.
  • Ensure film and photographic images are catalogued and archived effectively.
  • Work towards targets and agreed objectives
  • Attend public events and meetings as required acting as a representative for the LEAP team and BRB
  • Ensure value, safety and enjoyment for all.

General:

  • Ensure that Company and Departmental administrative procedures are followed in every area of work
  • Ensure the Company and Departmental health and safety and safeguarding policies are adhered to at all times
  • To work effectively with other BRB staff and other venue staff
  • To work in a way that celebrates diversity in practice, projects and participation and encourages safe practice
  • To be an advocate for BRB
  • This role includes lifting and carrying.
  • You will be required to support events on tour
