Programme Description

As part of Leonardo's four-year Manufacturing Technical Apprenticeship, you will work in state-of-the-art facilities, gaining valuable experience in office and lab environments. Throughout the program, you will acquire an HND in Engineering systems, SVQ level 2 (PEO), and SVQ level 3 (Engineering technical support), while collaborating with industry-leading experts to enhance your technical skills, academic knowledge, and practical understanding of the engineering lifecycle.


Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Years 1 and 2: Complete SVQ Level 2, gain real work evidence during rotational placements, and attend college for academic qualifications.
  • Years 3 and 4: Undertake a final placement, advance academic study to HND level, and gather evidence for SVQ completion.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required:

  • Must have at least 3 Higher Grades, including Mathematics and Physics or Engineering Science, along with another Higher subject in a technological field.
  • Minimum qualifications in English (Standard Grades / National 5).
