At Precision Fuel & Hydration we personalise athletes' hydration and fueling strategies using a suite of cutting-edge tools and a unique range of products.

We work with a long list of pro teams in the Premier League, NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, Formula One and beyond, as well as many elite and amateur athletes in sports like triathlon, cycling, running and tennis.

We're not just a "sports nutrition business", we're also a high-end sports consultancy and an innovative e-commerce brand, with a heavy focus on technology and research.

We're a global business, with sales in 90+ countries, but we're still a small team of ~35 who love what we do and the space we're in.

This new role is an opportunity to lead on all aspects of physical product development at PF&H. You'll nurture new products from initial concept through to launch and beyond, working closely with our marketing, operations and customer support teams to ensure success.

As well as developing innovative new products, you'll drive the continuous improvement of our existing product range, listening to customer feedback and the latest scientific literature and trends in the industry.

We work hard to make sure our product range sets us apart from others in our space. As such, continuous improvement and rigorous quality assurance will be a key part of your day to day role. This would include leading our relationships with Informed Sport, NSF for Sport as well as Quality Managers at manufacturing facilities.

Working alongside the operations team, you'll manage product artwork, labelling compliance and packing innovation. You'll identify opportunities and concepts through working closely with your colleagues and prioritise resources appropriately.

Alongside a market-leading range of electrolyte and fuel products that power some of the world's best endurance athletes, we also stock a full range of technical merchandise, which helps our customers perform at their best and our brand stand out from the crowd. From bottles and flasks, to clothing and kit (including our multi-colour hats, which have become cult items), you'll ensure g these products stay best in class as well too.

The founder of the business, Andy Blow, is a recognised thought-leader in sports science, has set up a number of successful businesses and was an elite triathlete "back in the day". Our COO, Jonny is an engineer by training and won 2 Silver medals at the Canoeing World Championships before being instrumental in developing our innovative product range and spearheading our supply chain and fulfilment operations, enabling us to grow into a truly global business.

Our Head of Operations, Sam, has years of experience in fulfilment management from both the client and 3PL side and has taken a leading role in shaping what has become a very sophisticated global logistics set-up.

You'll join an experienced crew of 'A-Team' entrepreneurs and have a real responsibility to have an impact from day one at PF&H.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion new product development of our sports fuel, hydration and accessories, delivering the very best products in our space.
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop and refine products, ensuring they align with our brand and quality standards.
  • Project manage new product launches, working closely with each of the relevant departments in the business to hit key milestones and KPIs.
  • Own and continuously improve quality assurance protocols including liaising with 3rd parties such as Informed Sport and NSF to ensure compliance.
  • Manage our internal QC processes and retained samples system.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure product artwork / labelling compliance as our brand continues to grow globally.
  • Innovate within our range, from packaging to palletisation to help drive efficiency and sustainability improvements
  • Own the product catalogue, ensuring all relevant parties have access to the collateral they need to market the products effectively, including imagery, specifications and copy.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in product development and management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of product labelling and allergen regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for food and drink trends and the ability to translate them into successful products.

COMPENSATION

  • Salary: £TBD DOE
  • Core hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
  • We would expect a successful applicant to be based at our HQ in Dorset, United Kingdom
