The Petersham is a stunning privately owned hotel and restaurant, with fabulous views of the River Thames, in Richmond, Surrey.

We are looking for friendly individuals to join our energetic team.

90 seat high quality restaurant with buzzing atmosphere with unrivalled views from every table.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort customers to their tables
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
  • Set up and clearing of Food & Beverage areas and outlets to the standards required
  • Be knowledgeable of all the F&B products sold in the hotel and be able to communicate
offerings to our guests

  • Responsible for delivery of high quality, consistent and timely F&B service
  • Assist with the running of a private events for a particular service
  • Communicate effectively to guests and team members
  • Maximize sales through effective use of upselling techniques
  • You are required to flex between functions and work in a variety of F&B outlets
including; Events Operations, In Room Dining and the Restaurant

  • Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions,
ingredients or potential food allergies)

  • Upsell additional products when appropriate
  • Communicate order details to the kitchen
  • Serve food and drink orders
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any
problems

  • Deliver checks and collect bill payments
  • Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
  • Follow all relevant health department regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests
