You'll also support GamCare and the NGSN to achieve cut-through across our policy and influencing objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support our stakeholder mapping to gather timely intelligence and analysis on target stakeholder' activity and enhance our influencing opportunities and mitigate risks; and maintain a stakeholder register
  • Regularly monitor and report on political activity and policy developments, including using our political monitoring service to identify opportunities to engage
  • Support the delivery of and represent GamCare and the NGSN at national/local parliamentary and other external events and meetings to build and nurture our relationships; and develop associated outputs e.g., letters, minutes, presentations, reports, and internal/external briefings
  • Monitor, identify, and support the development of consultation responses; and support the development of internal and external briefings and presentations, e.g., including for senior staff, parliamentarians, officials, opinion formers, partners, and wider stakeholders
  • Work in partnership with Comms and Digital Comms colleagues to coordinate and raise the profile of our external relationships and influencing work, including drafting blogs, articles and offering external affairs support as required on media and digital campaigns
  • Work closely with the Head of External Affairs and External Affairs Manager to support the commissioning and/or development of engaging research, reports, and publications to shape our thinking and ensure it is supported by evidence (e.g., surveys and polling, evidence reviews, etc.)

You'll have operated in a busy external affairs or public affairs function, and bring with you a strong understanding of the policy environment and routes to influence.

Naturally emotionally intelligent and empathetic, you'll look forward to working with, building and managing credible relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
