London, Greater London, United Kingdom London South Bank University Full time
We require an enthusiastic, pro-active individual to lead a team, based at the Southwark Campus.

The postholder will be responsible for the management of the University's attendance and engagement activities, working collaboratively with Academic School leads on the attendance monitoring procedure, supporting students 'at risk' of non-continuation by providing timely and effective interventions to re-engage the student with their studies in order to help them achieve their full potential and/or identifying barriers to re-engagement.

This role will be responsible for the management and the smooth running of the extenuating circumstances (EC) procedure.

The skills and experience you will need to be successful

The postholder must have a strong customer-focused and professional approach and will be responsible for supervising and allocating workload to a team of Student Engagement Advisors.

The postholder should have experience of working to support students by identifying and eliminating barriers to attendance and engagement, working with the team to deliver effective caseload management to support re-engagement and retention of students.

Experience of delivering data led service delivery changes and being able to contribute into the wider institutional aims and KPIs around retention, progression, and completion is essential in this role.

Experience in and knowledge and understanding of extenuating circumstances processes and successfully managing the service delivery of this.

The post holder will have excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, an ability to prioritise workloads, meet strict deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.

Details about the role
We currently have 1 FTE (35 hours per week) position available as an ongoing/permanent post.

Please note that the University is operating a trial hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, with 3 days on campus and 2 days working from home.
