The role of the male perinatal peer support worker has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of mental health challenges and supporting those recovering from illness in the perinatal period recovery in the perinatal period.

The role has been designed to support partners of those experiencing perinatal mental health challenges as well as people who may be suffering with mental health challenges themselves, when their partner has recently had a baby.

Through sharing wisdom from their own experiences, male peer support workers will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible to other men going through similar difficulties.

Peer support workers provide invaluable support to service users and their partners navigating mental health systems.
