  • Drive the design and implementation of components of the company's scientific research strategy, including engaging in R&D projects with clients.
  • Lead cross-disciplinary projects involving software engineers, product managers, and scientists, overseeing the creation and execution of models and metrics.
  • Work extensively with Python programming language, focusing on delivering valuable insights to customers alongside software engineers and product developers.
  • Engage in customer interactions to grasp their needs and align scientific efforts for maximum impact.
  • Act as a mentor within the science team, fostering the growth of junior colleagues and championing scientific excellence.
  • Collaborate with experts across various fields to stay updated on cutting-edge scientific developments and translate this knowledge into practical models for customers.
  • Effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and relevance.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in a relevant field with a PhD or Masters qualification.
  • 3-4+ years of experience in applied modelling, data science, or spatial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, including geospatial packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently or within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with a focus on supporting junior colleagues.
  • Passion for interdisciplinary collaboration and a knack for synthesizing diverse knowledge efficiently.
  • Capability to work swiftly while upholding scientific rigor and practicality.
