Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and meet organizational goals. Leading the logistics strategy footprint for UK, Europe, and North America.
# Operations Management:
Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution
International Supply Chain:
Review the existing strategy for all inbound product movement, ensuring smooth movement of goods from factories to the ports for export.
This involves coordinating transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to meet shipping schedules to ensure world-class customer satisfaction.# Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics team, including managers, supervisors, and front-line staff. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
# Evolve how to engage with our customers across multiple channels such as phone, email, live chat, social media, and self-service options. Ensure the strategy is able to evolve with the continued high growth demands of the business.
# Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and address any issues or concerns.
# Inventory Control:
Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and prevent stockouts. Utilize inventory management systems and technology to track and monitor inventory movements.
# Implement cost-saving initiatives such as route optimization, inventory consolidation, and vendor negotiations.
# Performance Metrics:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of logistics operations. Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed to improve performance.
# Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Experience of leading large-scale projects , including design and build of DC's, outsourcing of operations to third-party providers, and launching in-house transport function.
Strong understanding of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
