Sleep-in Children's Support Worker

You must have a driver's licence and access to your own vehicle to get to and from our overnight respite home located in Ribchester, Preston.

Public transport is limited from Preston its self, however, a bus does run every hour from Clitheroe.


In-house training and external specialist training is provided, but previous training around medication administration, moving and handling, challenging behaviour etc is advantageous.


Job classification;

  • Working with other staff members and sometimes on your own to help support people in their own communities and at our respite homes. You should enjoy helping people and want to make a positive difference to people's lives as well as having good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Experience in the care industry is preferable but not essential as full induction/training will be given to those new to the care sector

Immediate interviews are available and quick starts following relevant referencing and safeguarding checks.

In addition to the hourly rate paid, staff supporting overnight are also paid a set sleep fee per shift.

  • PPE is provided at the homes.
  • 30p Per Mile can be claimed when taking service users out into the community.

Job Types:
Part Time, Permanent


Employees can pick up extra shifts when and as they want, you can achieve full time hours of 40 hours per week easily on a part time contract.


Salary:
£10.50-£11.00 per hour depending on experience.

Sleep fee is at a rate of £40 per sleep.

COVID-19 considerations:
Interviews are completed via Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp video call.
