The Information Manager shall act as a strategic leader and focal point in the organisation for overseeing the design, implementation, adoption and continuous improvement of our document management system.

They are responsible for developing and executing all aspects of a comprehensive Document Management strategy, aligned with organisational goals, that ranges from ensuring our project related documentation is correctly stored and easily retrievable, to owning the version control and workflows for processes and procedures.

The role holder will be required to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels across our global organisation, including Document Management Representatives, and Infrastructure and IT colleagues, to gather requirements, solicit feedback and identify opportunities for system enhancement and continuous improvement, to deliver a positive user experience and increased system adoption and compliance.

The role requires a deep understanding of SharePoint as well as experience of managing and maintaining documents in line with ISO9001, ISO15489 and ISO30301 principles.

Develop and execute a comprehensive Document Management Strategy including the successful implementation of relevant processes and procedures.

Coordinate engagement and positive contribution from a cross-functional cohort of Document Management Representatives (DMRs), including facilitating a regular DMR forum.

Define, implement, and maintain meta-data tagging and classification to enhance document organisation, retrieval and sharing.

Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the document management system and facilitate improvement initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of the document management system with other enterprise systems and applications.

Develop, implement, and maintain processes to monitor compliance with document management requirements and establish reporting mechanisms and Key Performance Indicators as appropriate.

Manage and provide guidance, support and performance feedback to direct reports.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams, overseeing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing enterprise level document management systems.
Deep understanding of SharePoint and previous experience managing and maintaining documents in line with ISO9001, ISO15489 and ISO30301 principles
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Degree qualified (Information Management) or equivalent relevant experience in a related field.
Significant experience at a senior level as a dedicated document management professional, with strong emphasis on SharePoint.
Certified Information Professional (CIP) or Certified Records Manager (CRM) desirable, but not essential.

Ability to travel as required
