Job Description To ensure that analysis of costs is insightful and adds value to Together, by partnering with executive stakeholders across the business and implementing cost M.I. and methodologies that make things happen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the provision of a business partnering function in relation to Group costs, covering costs of running the business day to day and the cost and associated benefits with the transformation portfolio.
  • Effectively manage and develop relationships with executive directors, senior managers, and other senior stakeholders through collaborating, influencing, challenging and negotiating, to support the Group in achieving its objectives.
  • Partner with the Change function who have embedded an Agile Change Management Framework to help evaluate and understand Agile Release Train delivery costs and associated benefits, feeding in to the quarterly prioritisation of workflow for Change.
  • Ensure that relevant larger projects have a cost and financial benefits case prior to approval, and conduct a post implementation review.
  • Manage the team, including a Finance Business Partner and Finance Analyst whose focus is monthly cost reporting and reforecasting. Through the team, deliver;
  • Cost budgets, which are met, with any variances are well understood by cost owners including executives.
  • Cost forecasts.
  • Plan and lead the quarterly cost forum.
  • Ownership and development of the Group's activity based costing models, engaging with divisional teams when required.
  • Ownership and development of cost KPIs.
  • Deputising for the Head of Financial Performance when required.
  • Provide adhoc insight and analysis for senior stakeholders across Together

Essential skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, relationship building and influencing skills at a strategic level with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • An inquisitive mind that can think laterally about any potential consequences for the company, a selfstarting problem solver.
  • A desire to grow areas of responsibility, which is supported by an ability to set up robust processes and oversee them, creating capacity for further development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication that is articulate, and delivered professionally, can negotiate and generate commitment.
  • Commercially astute, pragmatic, value based decision maker.
  • Experience business partnering senior management or executive level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge or experience of Lean Agile / Agile at Scale project methodologies
  • Advanced Excel and MDX skills
  • SQL & Financial modelling expertise
