Broker Distribution Manager, UK

The Broker Distribution Manager will contribute to actively managing and expanding broker relationships and working with the Underwriting teams to profitably grow the UK book of business.

Play an active role in supporting the Distribution team in transitioning our UK Business and its performance in a rapidly changing marketplace.


  • Through marketing efforts and the delivery of high quality and original solutions, enhance the reputation of AXA XL Network.
  • Key in doing this will be the ability to articulate the innovative and customized solutions AXA XL brings to their risk management needs.
  • The role holder is required to support underwriters in their efforts to retain and grow their books of business while maintaining the highest levels of account service.
  • The role holder is required to ensure our broker partners deliver on the agreed services within line of business facilities.
  • The role is responsible for strengthening the quality and depth of relationship with AXA XL brokers and, in so doing, develop a pipeline of opportunities for AXA XL underwriting units.
  • In addition, to follow the metrics and reporting for management and monitoring of BDMs' performance for all the above.
  • Being part of an exceptional team and culture within the UK Client and Distribution function.
An understanding of underwriting processes and knowledge of risk factors

  • Sound understanding and use of targeting, analysis and strategic planning approaches.
  • An understanding and familiarity with local market, distribution channels and competitors
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with other internal leaders, clients, brokers, claim handlers, underwriters, and legal counsel.
