To support the Senior Financial Accountant in delivering a high quality service to the business, through supporting on a number of key processes, and management of the expenses process as well as liaising with key external government bodies and internal stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Cash
- Preparing bank payments and transfers to suppliers, subcontractors, employees and intercompany, for the isg UK and European companies
- Reconciliation of bank accounts on eVision to bank statements for the isg UK and European companies
- Statutory Accounting/Compliance
- Support the Senior Financial Accountant with all compliance related activities including audit and tax, including managing monthly and quarterly VAT and PSA reviews
- ONS
- Lead with the regular reporting to the Office of National Statistics
- Consolidate and review the information from an array of stakeholders around the business to deliver accurate and timely outputs to the ONS
- Monthly duties
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and TB production
- Manage the Intercompany recharging process
- Posting of standard journals, e.g. accruals, recharges
- Posting and reconciliation of fixed assets nominal accounts, e.g. depreciation
- Support the Senior Financial Accountant with other monthly activities
- Expenses
- Act as the lead on the expenses process, working closely with the Expenses Transactional team to ensure postings are fit for purpose, and develop the process to drive efficiencies
- Other
- Support Group Finance and the Record to Report team with other developments and adhoc work as required
- Support the Head Record of Report with team admin duties

Qualifications:
- Early careers applicants or those looking for a first move into finance particularly welcomed
- Likely to have a desire to study for a professional accounting qualification
- May have begun study, or currently AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA part qualified looking to progress
- Early careers applicants welcomed, with internships or a few years experience working in an accounting role advantageous but not essential.
- A structured and organised approach to work, selfmotivated, with the ability to manage own workload meeting deadlines and ensuring successful completion of tasks
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookup, Sumif, XLookup)
