The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Journalist/Content Writer to support our Aesthetics brand in the production of editorial copy for the Aesthetics Journal (B2B) and assist with membership tasks associated with the portfolio. This will be a multi-faceted role that will encompass all aspects of a media and events company. You must be able to meet strict deadlines, write and edit copy precisely and work closely with the Editor and Deputy Editor and the editorial team to ensure that all content is well written, thoroughly researched and factually accurate.

As part of this role, you will be expected to develop relationships with expert contributors and advertisers, as well as industry leaders and gain a strong understanding and knowledge of the medical aesthetics market. You will also need to help with the promotion of the Aesthetics membership platform through social media and email marketing, as well as answer inquiries over the phone and email.

Alongside the Journal, you will also have a role to play in the portfolio's two conferences, ACE and CCR, as well as the Aesthetics Awards ceremony. This includes helping out with content-related tasks and interviews at the shows.

It's an exciting and dynamic role, which would be perfect for a new graduate or a junior journalist, who is ready to take their skills to the next level.

Essential Criteria:

• A degree in Journalism or NCTJ qualification (a degree in English will be considered if the candidate has completed modules/work experience in journalism or medical writing)
• Excellent writing and grammar skills
• Experience in proofing and editing
• Knowledge and experience in utilising social media business accounts including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
• Motivation and a 'can do attitude' to ensure that all content is delivered on time and to a high standard
• Excellent communication skills and professional conduct
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• An interest in (or knowledge of) the medical aesthetics market

Preferred Criteria:

• At least 1 years' experience in content, news or feature writing
• Experience in writing for a trade publication or medical audience
• Experience in relationship building with key contacts for example PRs, contributors and advertisers
• Experience in conferences or events
• Experience with membership platforms
