Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe is currently seeking
a
People & Engagement Specialist to join our People & Culture department in Newcastle. This is a permanent role being offered on a hybrid, part time basis (30 hours per week).

Job purpose - To provide a best class People Advisory service and support to people managers across the business

Responsibilities:

  • Support operational managers through the provision of meaningful and insightful monthly reporting. Identifying trends and collaborating with the manager and peer network on improvement initiatives
  • Coach and support people managers through the full spectrum of Employee Relations issues.
  • Support the on boarding experience of People Managers and induction plans where needed.
  • Support the Senior Business Partner with the management of all organisational change programs.
  • Liaise with other business functions and build effective working relationships with operational functions to provide a seamless people service.
  • To provide support to the [People Services] team with complex administration queries across the P&C function focused on creating a brilliant user experience through continuous improvements and modern practices
  • Assist in the creation of new polices and responsible for the maintenance of all existing people policies, and associated documentation. Ensuring annual reviews are undertaken, legislation updates are made when applicable, version control and logs are updated and the latest polices are published on the company intranet.
  • Facilitate the effective governance of regulatory and legislative processes across the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to; Imigration, GDPR, Employment Law & Background checking
  • Develop and drive social activity across the business promoting an inclusive and innovative culture.
  • Assist in creating and manage the delivery of innovative solutions and projects for the organisations benefit
  • Be an ambassador for Culture, Employee Engagement, Wellbeing and Equality and Diversity, advising and supporting best practice across the organisation
  • Support with the Hay Job Evaluation Process
  • Support the development and execution of People & Culture strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 5 Qualification or Equivalent required
  • Ability to use data to create meaningful insight in support of operational performance and employee engagement
  • Process improvement and organisational skills, with a commitment to building internal and external relationships
  • Experience in influencing stakeholders
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills creating simple and engaging messages
  • Creative flair and an ability to see the bigger picture
  • Comfortable working under own initiative, making decisions and seeking counsel where necessary
  • High level of business integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Innovative, customer focused and proactive approach to resolving problems; taking ownership and accountability
  • Excellent use of IT and Microsoft packages.
