The perfect candidate will have prior experience in Commercial & Residential Projects and will be part of a business that is currently growing, offering the opportunity for personal progress and growth within the company.

Role Overview for Quantity Surveyor

  • Prepare tender and contract documents along with bills of quantities in collaboration with the architect and client.
  • Engage with the existing supply chain.
  • Select subcontractors, define service scopes, and assign tasks.
  • Manage and regulate project costs throughout the process.
  • Identify potential project risks and chances of cost fluctuation.
  • Monitor design or work changes and adjust budget forecasts accordingly.
  • Evaluate completed work and facilitate subcontractor payments.
  • Analyze progress and generate detailed reports.
  • Act as a liaison between site managers, project managers, site engineers, and clients.
  • Create concise reports for clients and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform cost analyses for ongoing maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Provide guidance on any remaining contractual claims.

Requirements

  • Valid UK driving license
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the construction sector
  • Exceptional communication skills at all organizational levels, internally and externally
  • Proficiency in common Microsoft applications
