A&P Tyne Finance Manager

Looking after one of the most important parts of the business, maintaining and reviewing our financial controls and systems, this is a great opportunity for someone almost or newly qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA or similar who is based in the North East.

If youre looking for a role that allows you the chance to recommend efficiencies and improvements to the Finance Director as we develop and grow the facility here on the Tyne this could be the move for you.

So, what will you do?
Supervising and developing your Finance Assistant, youll be responsible for accurately reporting all financial information to the Finance Director
Youll maintain and review all financial controls and systems, identifying and recommending operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices
Preparing monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis youll present them for review
Control and management of project based financial reporting
Youll be responsible for effective cashflow management
Preparation of VAT returns and management of ONS returns
The annual financial budgets and monthly updates to budget holders will be prepared by you
Our annual statutory Accounts packs will be prepared and presented to the Finance Director and youll manage the annual audit
Youll review and authorise Payroll submissions
Management of the R&D tax claim
Ensuring the finance department is supporting the needs of the operating business youll assist the Finance Director and stand in for them when needed

A high level of commercial awareness, ability to deliver business objectives and able to suggest appropriate strategic options
Previous financial control and management reporting as well as project related financial reporting experience

You must also undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check before your employment starts, which will include a basic DBS check.
