The Role & Key Responsibilities

Job Title:
Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Location:
Cullompton

Shift:40hours per week Mon-Fri on a rotating shift pattern covering 6:00 - 22:00 + on call rota for Monday to Sunday

You will work in a growing and evolving environment where we work with legacy kit as well as giving you the opportunity to get involved with CAPEX improvement projects and new kit installs.

This gives us an exciting diverse approach between old and new schoolrolling the sleeves up back to the 1960's as well as the new technology coming into the Mill.

To be successful and enjoy this you will need to be a self-starter with experience of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.


You will focus on performing planned preventive maintenance (PPM) ideally providing key knowledge on the electrical activities such as probe maintenance, PLC Fault finding, soft starts and changes to how we run heavy duty electrical equipment's as well asrepairs and upgrades to the electrical elements of the equipment.

We are constantly working to improve our mills with investment in new equipment as well as working on smaller in-house projects so you will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety ofactivities.


We want to reduce reactive engineering by investing and improving in our PPM schedules, as part of our improvement plans, we are looking at Lean Six Sigma, Kizan and 5S approaches so if you have experience in that we would love to hear from you as we movetowards improving our processes and equipment to enhance production.


  • Apprenticeship trained, HNC (or equivalent)
Multi-Skilled Engineer with Electrical bias ideally 60:40 Electrical bias as a minimum

  • Electrical experience for panels, invertors, isolations and high voltage equipment
  • Experience gained preferably within the Food /plantbased manufacturing/FMCG high volume environment with CI exposure
  • PLC fault finding experience would be advantageous ideally Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi
