This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team in a thriving manufacturing company.
Managing a team of 5 staff, the Finance Manager role is broad, with full responsibility for finance, HR, payroll, and sales administration functions within the company.
Main Duties:
- Supporting the Management Team by providing key metrics, highlighting issues, and proposing corrective actions.
- Managing and developing the finance team to support business growth.
- Ensuring successful planning and execution of all Corporate initiatives and projects.
- Overseeing monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
- Planning and producing budgets and monthly forecasting, including collaborating with all departments.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory returns, including VAT returns.
- Supervising timely completion of year-end statutory accounts and associated analysis.
- Ensuring full SOX compliance and collaborating with internal auditors.
- Working with the central team to ensure accurate company insurance policies.
- Managing and developing the sales administration team to support business growth.
- Implementing and updating company policies and procedures as required.
- Supporting the recruitment, selection, and placement process with other managers.
- Overseeing performance reviews, appraisals, and employee development.
- Managing the delivery of monthly payroll, including third party payments.
- Owning pensions and the auto-enrolment process.
Requirements:
- Proven financial management experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to engage in strategic decision-making within the business and manage relationships effectively.
- Experience leading a small team with strong communication skills.
- Practical Experience in HR and payroll.
- Experience in an SME, responsible for multiple functions and adaptable.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Understanding of HR, payroll, and SOX.
- Experience with Sage 200.
Desirable:
- CIPD qualification.
- Knowledge and experience in the Rail industry.
