Oakdene wine station is a vibrant, family-owned business. We provide our customers with fuel, food and freshly baked produce but our speciality is most certainly wine. As a sales assistant, you will work with your colleagues, on a 6-hour shift, to ensure a high quality customer experience is maintained; we pride ourselves in our exceptional customer service and maintaining outstanding store conditions.
As a sales assistant, your role will include, but will not be limited to, the following tasks:

Provide exceptional customer service on the till, handling cash, ensuring all till procedures are carried out in a correct and precise manner
:

Maintain an outstanding store condition, including cleaning, visual merchandising standards and price labelling
:
-
Carry out health and safety checks when needed and making sure all equipment in the store are in a good working order
:
-
Report any issues that require instant attention to the manager
:
-
Count, quality check and correctly store deliveries
:
-
Carry out all relevant checks before and after your shift, as well as all store opening and closing routines.
Although no experience is needed for this role, as full training will be provided, what we are looking for is someone with the following skills:
-
Excellent time management, and knows how to prioritise some tasks over others at certain times
:
-
Conscientious, always arrives on time, handles cash competently and strives for high standards of store cleanliness
:
-
Eager to learn with a hands on approach and ready to carry out any tasks required in all different areas of the store
:
-
Must be flexible, available to work different shifts including evenings and weekends
:
-
Access to own means of transport, and flexibilty, due to opening and closing times of the store, which are 5:30am and 11pm respectively
:

Must be 18 or over due to sale of alcohol and cigarettes.
