Health and Safety Advisor - Rainham - up to £50,000

(NEBOSH / TechIOSH required)
ME Recruits are working with a leading, innovative manufacturer of luxury home brand products.

They have a new position for an experienced, energetic and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to provide key guidance, training and management of their onsite EHSS activities.


An essential role within their business operations, they are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic and skilled professional to effectively manage risks and encourage and influence excellent EHSS practices and culture.

You will possess strong technical competency, along with NEBOSH General Certificate and Tech IOSH qualifications. You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience of HSE management, along with exceptional organisation and interpersonal skills.

This role will be based at their Rainham location and will cover the following areas:

  • Carrying out regular Critical 15 site audits and collate action points.
  • Be the recognised site governance to manage and mitigate risks
  • Confident to escalate Serious Risks to ( No 2)
  • Work with Preferred Suppliers List ( PSL) of external contractors to complete statutory audits.
  • Ensuring all action points from Statutory audits are managed to completion
  • Maintaining positive relationship with external service providers.
  • Conducting service review meetings.
  • Carrying out regular spot check of RAMS.
  • Holding and document monthly committee meetings with site committee.
  • Ensuring incident investigations are completed to the approved standard.
  • Assigning and review the completion of all action points.
  • Logging all EHSS activity on OPUS.
  • Escalating all training gaps.
  • Escalating all serious incidents.
  • Ensuring legal operating compliance of the site.
  • Driving the site continuous improvement agenda.
  • Completing monthly site ESG data.
  • Planning and implements programs to train managers and employees in all work site safety practices, fire prevention, correct handling techniques for chemicals, equipment, and other materials.
  • Reviewing and amend Induction material identifying continuous improvement and site specific content.
  • Ensuring knowledge and compliance of onsite peers.
  • Cascade Policy changes to Site Managers and peers.
  • Manage the site evacuation procedure.
