Homebase is currently seeking a Sales Consultant specializing in Kitchens, Bathrooms, and Bedrooms to become a valuable part of our team on a permanent basis.

Salary: Starting at £23,280, with potential for negotiation for candidates possessing previous sales experience and proven billing records.

Earning Potential: Your income is unlimited, as we provide uncapped commission, with achievable on-target earnings of £50,000 annually.

We refer to it as achievable because hitting the target in the first month is unlikely; it might take 2 - 3 months to establish your customer base, familiarize yourself with our product ranges, and settle into the role. Once you are established, there is no reason why you cannot earn £50,000 or even substantially more each year, similar to many of our successful sales consultants.

Working Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week out of 7, including regular weekends (part-time options may be available based on individual circumstances).

About the Position:

Simply put, this role is highly targeted and sales-oriented, akin to all sales positions, it requires dedication and may be challenging at times. Yet, if you can stay motivated and focused, it can also be one of the most gratifying positions within Homebase.

On a daily basis, your primary objective will be to provide outstanding service to our customers by assisting them in acquiring a new kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom from our exceptional product ranges.

To accomplish this, you will need to contact customers to pursue leads, schedule appointments, prepare quotes, conduct home visits, and utilize your creativity and expert selling skills to ensure customers find the most suitable room solution for their homes.

Naturally, you will receive support from your store manager, divisional sales manager, and our L&D teams, who will provide training and guidance. However, the performance of your desk ultimately rests on your shoulders.

We seek the following qualities in our Sales Consultant:

  • Sales Expertise: We require a proficient "closer" who can establish strong customer relationships and promote our best products.
  • Confidence: Given that you will invest a significant amount of time following up on leads and scheduling appointments, you must not hesitate to pick up the phone and communicate with new people.
  • Creativity: Your eye for interior design will be essential in creating stunning designs using CAD that will captivate our customers.
  • Self-Motivation: The age-old adage states, "You reap what you sow," and in this role, it holds true. If you treat your desk as your own business, investing the required effort, you will find this role immensely rewarding.
