Job DescriptionWe are in search of a skilled Lead Developer who will be responsible for creating software to handle PRT pension administration calculations for the company. The development work mainly involves C#, but the ideal candidate should also be familiar with other technologies such as Java, C++, Python, VBA, and shell scripts.Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with existing developers to ensure new development aligns with current functionality and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the product manager, business actuaries, and architects to produce high-quality, production-ready code.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, aim for continuous code base enhancement, and system improvement.
  • Analyze system processes to identify areas for software automation to reduce operational and model risk.
  • Provide comprehensive test coverage, own system tests, and engage in business testing as part of the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Experience in building financial engineering systems using customized software solutions, particularly in pensions and annuities.
  • Capability in designing and assisting with analytics and cash flow modeling requirements gathering.
  • Proficiency in C# development, open source libraries, C++, Java, VBA, Python, GUI design, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Expertise in software development for analytical and model risk scenarios.
  • Ability to proactively address technical and business challenges to deliver solutions.
  • Proven track record in software/database systems development, project life cycles, and product installation.
  • Skills in estimation, self-management, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery toolkit, source control, and issue management software.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux development environments and tools.
