We are currently seeking a Small Tools Driver to join our team based at Winsford.

In this role you will be required to efficiently and professionally deliver and collect plant and tool assets from a variety of locations across the UK using a 3.5t vehicle.

The majority of locations will be situated within a 200 mile radius of the depot.

Main responsibilities

  • Abide by the Highway Code at all times.
  • Observe and complete daily vehicle check list reporting all defects to supervisor/manager.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and presentable.
  • Ensure vehicle is serviced and maintained in accordance to manufacturers and/or company's specifications.
  • To not exceed safe working load of vehicle and all carried assets are securely fastened before travel.
  • Keep within speed limits at all times. This includes when visiting projects and depots.
  • Ensure all accidents are reported the Small Plant Manager and/or Workshop Manager as soon a safely possible.
  • All paperwork is completed to high standard, noting if any damage to assets.
  • Responsible use of a fuel card.
  • Handle a variety of small and large assets with due care.

Qualifications

  • Full clean driving licence
  • 3.5t vehicle experience
  • CSCS Card

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years driving experience
  • Operating a 3.5t vehicle 6 months+
  • Multidrop deliveries/collections in a previous role

Skills/Knowledge

  • Planning routes
  • Strong English communication skills verbal and written
  • Problem solving
  • Construction industry background preferred but not essential.
