D365 Technical Lead

12-month Contract

UK Remote, with occasional visits to Morgan locations in the UK and worldwide


The role of the D365 Technical Lead involves overseeing the technical aspects of the Highlander D365 project. This includes managing technical resources for various project activities such as environment and release management, reporting, DevOps, platform security, integrations, testing, infrastructure readiness, and service transition.


As part of the Highlander Programme, the Technical Lead will collaborate with stakeholders, including Systems Integrators and IT teams, to ensure system quality and performance.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics D365, strong technical skills, and a proven track record in leading technical teams.

Responsibilities:

The Role:

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead the technical team on matters related to D365 environments, reporting, DevOps, platform security, integrations, testing, infrastructure readiness, and service transition.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external teams, acting as an escalation point when needed.

Project Management:
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Solution Architecture:
  • Work closely with Solution Architects to uphold the D365 solution architecture, meeting business needs and adhering to best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Engage with IT stakeholders and suppliers to ensure a stable IT environment.
  • Manage development, infrastructure, and migration pipelines effectively.

Quality Assurance:
  • Establish technical specifications, standards, and frameworks.
  • Maintain best practices in infrastructure security.

Documentation:
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.

Training and Support:
  • Provide training and support to end-users and team members.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on Microsoft Dynamics D365 and related technologies for system enhancement.

The Working Environment:
Remote role with occasional visits to Morgan offices globally, supporting ERP implementation.

Qualifications:

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Experience with Power Platform and Azure services.
  • Leadership skills and team management experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud computing, and Azure.
