We are looking for a dedicated, caring and hardworking Head of Year with:

  • very high expectations of what each child can achieve;
  • a proven track record in raising pupil attainment;
  • knowledge and understanding of how to identify pastoral need and organise appropriate interventions;
  • an appreciation of the importance of communication between key stages on transition;
  • an understanding of how children learn and the complexities of this process;
  • the aspiration toworkwith young people, colleagues and parents;
  • the ability to successfully lead a pastoral team of tutors and pastoral support staff, establishing effective working relationships and flexible working practices;
  • experience offollowingdirection and working in collaboration with colleagues, parents, pupils and the school community;
  • strong interpersonal skills;
  • a creative and innovative approach to school improvement;
