Job Introduction:

Main Responsibility:

  • Monitor and ensure that all employees carry out their work in the business and operate with their teams in accordance with the specified requirements of the WGW People pillar in relation both to its normal functioning and the governance aspects, with the acknowledgement that management have primary responsibility for this outcome
  • Work with the Business Units and Central Services teams to ensure the ongoing development of the WGW People pillar in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Company operations, allowing for Freedom within the Framework. Ensure that all developments are in line with policy and in the overall interests of the Company
  • Oversee the design and development of the tobe processes across the People & Ways of Working pillars ensuring integration and consistency to deliver efficient ways of working, greater understanding and heightened adoption of the WGW across the business.
  • Embed the processes and policies defined in the WGW to ensure the business can attract, retain and develop the best possible team of people to manage and operate the Company's business in order to ensure the overall success of the company.
  • Work in collaboration with the HR team to ensure that the critical processes and policies for Recruitment, Talent & Succession planning, Performance Management, Learning & Development and Reward are clearly understood and implemented across the business
  • Ensure that the people aspects of CSR notably D,E & I and the relevant processes and policies are fully understood across the business
  • Ensure the appropriate systems and processes are in place to enable the collection and robust analysis of data to support the development of a high performing organisation
  • Work in collaboration with the Organisation Lead to ensure any organisational change adheres to the policies and principles within the People handbook
  • Ensure that the People team has a full understanding of the WGW both generally and specifically, including the People & Ways of Working Handbooks and the detailed governance structures, in order to support the business in all relevant aspects of its operation and development.
  • Build and develop a highly capable People team within the C&D office so as to operate as an independent entity, cooperating closely with the business, yet retaining the necessary degree of independence and robustness with required and welljustified interventions on Company matters.
  • Actively communicate the existence of and the rationale for having the WGW so that all employees are properly informed and able to understand the need for its practical implementation, supporting the Communications & Training Lead to develop and run regular compulsory training programmes as needed.
  • Support the Annual Cycle Review process to monitor progress and ensure rigorous operation of all aspects of WGW People & Ways of Working. Highlighting on an ongoing basis any areas of deficiency and working to rectify.
  • Support the Supervisory Board Business Counsel with activities relating to the Nominations Committee
  • Act as the guardian of the People and Ways of Working pillars, ensuring any proposed changes to the People and Ways of Working handbooks are approved by the C&D office as required
  • Experience of developing and implementing processes and systems for as part of a senior HR Leadership Team.
  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification/experience in Human Resources or other relevant field.
  • Ability to partner on business issues with stakeholders, effective influencing and consulting skills.
  • Experience within a FMCG or Manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Experience of working within a Global organisation is desirable.
  • Resilience and working with ambiguity
