About the Role

As a Senior Publisher, you will own a portfolio of journals within our Science, Technology and Medical organization. Balancing academic research and publishing knowledge, you will build relationships with various stakeholders. Developing 8-10 society-owned journal titles and services on a complex level.

Responsibilities:

Owning the journal portfolio by focusing on content growth, quality strategy and achieving a balance of open access articles- Guiding negotiations of editorial, title and society contracts to achieve a high quality of articles- Building influential relationships with stakeholders to help drive effective change through our organisation- Managing communities of scholars both through travel and increasingly digital channels- Keeping up-to-date with trends in Scientific, Technical & Medical publishing to maintain an awareness of changes and developments- Participating in projects such as pilots of new products, services or business models to improve our process

Requirements:

Have a PhD- Have impressive experience in Scientific, Technical & Medical Publishing- Be able to show skills in project management and delivering results in a global matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, teams and customers- Demonstrate great networking and successful negotiation skills- Demonstrate great business acumen and understanding of developing strategies and achieving goals
