The Role
This position is available on a part time basis (3 days per week) for 4 months.

Key Accountabilities
Accountable to the PI for ensuring compliance to health and safety regulations within the laboratory
Contribute in the development of powerpoint presentations and material for teaching
Lead the update of content for our research group website and closely liaise with university web developers
Help on the management of laboratory procedures and certification
Comply with University policies, including financial regulations, equal opportunities policy, Health & Safety policy, promoting race equality policy, information systems security policy, data security, intellectual property rights and safeguarding policies
Engage in personal, professional and career development, to enhance both specialist and transferable skills in accordance with desired career trajectory
Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade of the post, as requested by the project
Support the deployment of teaching as part of the Masters of Sustainable Chemical Engineering
The Person (Essential)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office tools: excel, power point, word
Proven organisation skills
Previous laboratory work experience
Interest in teaching, research communication, equality and diversity
Excellent skills in communication of science and engineering research and outcomes, both orally and in writing (such as presentations and technical writing)
Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and internet communication tools
Attributes and Behaviour
Ability to work independently and in a team. As part of a team, be able to contribute to the development of effective and mutually supportive working relationships and practices
Professional approach with a demonstrable commitment to dignity and respect in the workplace
Experience of participating in research projects
Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills
Very good organisation, networking and presentational skills
Ability and willingness to work outside conventional working hours if required by the opportunities presented by the project
Must be willing to comply with strict General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Qualifications:
PhD awarded (or near completion) in Chemical, Biochemical or Environmental Engineering
