The Research Finance and Compliance Unit is responsible for financial management, accounting and funder compliance of research and other income generating contracts funded by the whole spectrum of public and private organisations.

There is a very exciting opportunity to join this dynamic team.

An Assistant Accountant is required to lead on the accounting of projects within the team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and a professional individual to fill this post.

The post holder will support this strategy by leading on project accounting, provision of budgetary control statements to relevant stakeholders and external/internal audits.

Furthermore, you should possess experience of working in a customer service environment with an ability to analyse and report financial information.

You will possess strong communication skills along with excellent team working and self-management skills. Knowledge of higher education sector accounting and research funding will be a useful though not an essential skill.
