Our client is a dynamic and innovative technology company dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions. Their team values collaboration, continuous improvement, and a secure development lifecycle. We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our clients technology strategy and ensure the alignment of their technical vision with their business objectives.

The Role:

Technical Leadership:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the company's technology strategy.
  • Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers and developers across frontend, backend, and infrastructure domains.
  • Ensure the adoption of best practices in software development, security, and system architecture.
Frontend Technologies:
  • Direct the development and maintenance of frontend applications using technologies such as jQuery, Backbone, EJS, and Nativescript Vue for smartphone applications.
  • Ensure compatibility with modern web browsers and support for secure communication protocols like
Backend Technologies:
  • Supervise the design and optimization of server-side applications
  • Implement robust session management and two-factor authentication systems.
Development Practices:
  • Advocate for and implement a Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) based on the Microsoft Secure Development Lifecycle (MSSDL).
  • Foster a continuous integration environment with automated testing, static and dynamic code analysis, and regular code reviews.
  • Oversee version control and source code management using Git and GitHub, including one-click deployment policies.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Utilize collaboration tools such as Freshdesk for ticketing and support, and GitHub for source code management.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging team communication and the sharing of ideas.
Collaboration and Best Practices:
  • Collaborate with peer engineering leaders to influence outcomes both within and outside the team.
  • Evaluate and propose optimal solutions by weighing the pros and cons of various options.
  • Identify issue patterns and implement proactive measures to address root causes.
  • Manage task lifecycles using tools like JIRA.
  • Participate in internal and external code reviews, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Influence, establish, and sustain best practices.
  • Actively engage in team agile ceremonies, offering valuable inputs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidate
  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably as a CTO or similar.
  • Extensive knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript frameworks, modern web browsers) and backend technologies
  • Strong background in managing cloud infrastructure, configuration management, and secure networking.
  • Deep understanding of secure development practices, version control, and automated deployment processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to align technical strategies with business goals and drive innovation within the team.
