Our client is a reputable and growing business located near Thatcham. They have a newly created permanent requirement in their business for a Financial Controller.

Reporting into the MD, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring financial performance, key financial KPIs and internal controls of the business.
  • Identifying waste and costreduction opportunities across all areas of business; initiating and implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Carrying out profitability analysis for individual work and assisting with product pricing.
  • Producing monthly management accounts, weekly cashflow reports and adhoc financial analysis for management.
  • Managing monthend and yearend close processes, preparing the year end file for the accountants.
  • Calculating intercompany recharges.
  • Responsible for all aspects of payroll, purchase and sales ledgers, including credit control.
  • Managing supplier payment runs.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Maintaining the fixed assets register.
  • Reconciling bank and control accounts.
  • Business partnering with the management team.
  • Liaising with External Auditors in relation to year end and internal control.
  • Continually improve the finance department, systems and processes.


On offer is a salary of 45-55k (depending on experience), study support (if required), plus good benefits and some flexible hybrid working.
