Our client, a growing accountancy practice with a stellar reputation, is seeking an Accountant to support the Directors in preparing accounts and tax for a diverse portfolio of clients.

As part of a small and dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the practice's high standards of service, communicating with clients, guiding a small team of accounts trainees and ensuring the preparation and review of the financial accounts and tax affairs for the clients.

Preparation of limited company, partnership, and sole trader financial statements;
Completion of corporation and VAT tax returns and self-assessment;
Maintaining a high level of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training.
AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, ideally from a small or medium-sized accountancy practice;
Hands-on experience in accounting preparation, including accounts to trial balance stage;
Proficiency in UK tax regulations, self-assessment, and VAT preparation and filing;
Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or Quickbooks, along with Microsoft Excel and Word;
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with commercial awareness;
Flexible working hours to accommodate personal commitments, with hybrid working options available after the probation period
