We are looking for a Funding Administrator who can help support our client's Health Equity Programme term for a 3 month internship period on a part time basis.The salary for this role is £30,279 pro rata and will be hybrid with 1 day per week in their Marylebone office. This role will require you to work 2.5 days per week (part time).The organisation and the team are passionate about reducing inequalities in our communities and achieving improved health outcomes. This is an opportunity for an individual to play a pivotal role in achieving this ambition as part of an enthusiastic and energetic team.The role gives the opportunity to build experience in project management, financial management and managing grant funding pots which could be applicable to a wide range of settings both public sector and charity.About The Role:The Health Equity Programme aims to reduce inequalities in health outcomes across all of our communities, embedding a population health management approach and addressing the wider determinants of health.This is an administration role to support the management of the Health Inequalities Transformation funding of £7.8 million a year. Key tasks include:

  • Keeping the funding tracker spreadsheet up to date - including working with the Health Equity team to keep status up to date and finance team to ensure financial transactions are reflected in overall spend to date.
  • Supporting key internal process - raising of purchase orders, receipting of invoices, drafting of contract variations
  • Communicating key dates to the Health Equity team e.g. business case review meeting deadlines
  • Supporting the programme manager to collate updates on impact to date - communicating and collating impact review requirements from the wider team (who work closely with funded projects/teams).
  • Supporting the drafting of regular updates to the board/executive on status of funds available

The candidate will be working closely with a wide range of internal and external colleagues to undertake these tasks and will be expected to work flexibility.About You:The candidate is expected to be proactive and highly motivated. They will need to be a 'team player', working closely with a range of people including the Health Equity team, finance team and wider stakeholders to deliver their role.They will need to have good attention to detail ensuring financial trackers are up to date. No financial experience is needed but motivation to support the financial management of a large budget is important.Good excel skills would be helpful to ensure all relevant trackers are kept up to date.An appreciation of the health equity agenda is an advantage though not compulsory.
