About the Position

We're on the lookout for an experienced Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to join the team at Longford Forest. As part of the team, you'll work closely with Assistant Kitchen Managers and team leaders to ensure that our back of house operations meet Center Parcs brand standards. Your role will involve supporting the General Manager of the restaurant and participating in various village activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively coordinate and plan kitchen activities following standard procedures.
  • Ensure high guest satisfaction through culinary leadership, maintaining quality service, food & drink, and meeting financial targets.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards, and collaborate with the Restaurant Manager for business growth.

You'll foster a culture that prioritizes team wellbeing, motivation, and performance while contributing to effective management strategies.

Work Hours

Working set shifts, you'll be contracted for 160 hours over a 4-week period on a flexible schedule. Expect to work weekends, holidays, and potentially during Christmas and New Year on a rotating basis.

Prerequisites

If you've previously worked as a Senior Chef de Partie with team management responsibilities or as a Kitchen Manager/Head Chef, your experience in running a kitchen in a premium restaurant will be valuable. Your expertise in setting standards, motivating teams, menu planning, and financial management will ensure success at Center Parcs.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Formal catering qualification
  • Senior Chef kitchen management experience
  • Group trainer certification or team training experience
  • Proven track record in managing kitchen teams
  • Menu planning expertise, including themed menus like American, Pizza, Oriental, and Asian

Desirable Requirements:

  • Head Chef or Sous Chef experience in a branded restaurant or training role
