Opportunity SummarynProvide professional guidance and support to employees and managers in matters relating to policies/procedures; employment legislation; employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training and development, organisational design and talent management.nThis position is responsible for serving as the business liaison for managing union relationships while driving human resource initiatives designed to drive continuous improvement of HR metrics and the delivery of the people plan.


How You Will Impact WestRocknBusiness ExcellencenAdopt an HR consultant/HR business partner approach to delivering HR services to all sites within remitnResponsible for providing proactive, effective and efficient HR advice, coaching and guidance to senior management, line managers and staff within a multi-site unionised environmentnWork closely with senior managers to develop and drive people plans aimed at promoting an engaged and highly productive workforcenAchieving all objectives both strategic and operationalnLeading/driving talent mapping, development, succession planning projects to meet business/HR strategynLead and deliver HR projects and change initiatives in relation to sitesnBe the HR lead to the sites employee recognition programsnSupport the talent acquisition process, providing HR support to the recruitment processnManage a range of escalated complex casework (Absence, disciplinary and grievance) and ensuring that cases are managed effectively to deliver optimum outcomes whilst keeping abreast of any associated risksnEncourage and promote good working relationship with external bodies e.g.

Local Schools/Colleges/Universities and other learning establishments, funding bodies tapping into available funding to help support training budget costs and Government bodiesnLead and deliver HR training initiatives within current capabilitiesnSet up and support ongoing communication channels with Management and employees with HR taking active involvement in any communication meetingsnMonitor Age profile, highlight areas of concern to main stakeholders and provide possible solutions to bridge any gapsnAnalyse/interpreting monthly HR KPI's, providing steps to improve where deemed necessarynDriving the Appraisal processes on site to ensure maximum completion and that development plans are actioned.nPeople and CulturenDemonstrate exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills to establish credibility and respect whilst building strong working relationshipsnSupport the employee engagement survey process, lead the roll out of the survey and drive the action planning process in conjunction with the site leadership teams to ensure that engagement is a high priority action.

nEngage in professional development activities to develop and maintain skills and knowledge of HR and employment law issues, for example, attending relevant external network events and employment law briefing sessionsnCritical Skills / CapabilitiesnLeadership:
