Principal Ecologist

RSK Biocensus, a renowned ecological consultancy firm within the RSK Group, is seeking a dedicated Principal Ecologist to join their expanding UK ecology team. This position offers both full time and part-time options.
The role involves a mix of remote work and on-site visits with clients in Glasgow and surrounding areas.
As a Principal Ecologist at RSK Biocensus, you will have the opportunity to lead field surveys, assessments, tender preparations, report writing, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project acquisition and execution, provide guidance and training, and demonstrate best practices.
- Cultivate client relationships to secure future projects through successful past performance.
- Offer leadership, counsel, and uphold professional standards.
- Support colleagues in maintaining professional excellence.
- Enhance professional expertise and skills, keeping abreast of industry developments.
- Utilize performance appraisal systems to set goals aligned with team objectives.
Person Specification
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrate years of post-graduation experience.
- Possess a valid UK Driving License.
- Desirable to have species-specific licenses.
- Hold full membership with CIEEM and adhere to their Code of Professional Conduct.
- Working towards Chartership (CEcol recommended, CEnv accepted).
