Technical Director or Principal Ecologist

Take an active role in the delivering the business plan objectives of development and expansion.
The Role
- Manage projects (budgets/cashflow) and teams, taking technical ownership of deliverables
- Be the technical lead of the 30+ ecology team
- Predominantly a desk based role with the occasional out and about
- Big wind farm projects, ecology and ornithology chapters
- Configure reporting lines
- Lead on the technical aspects
- Represent, lead and develop the existing ecology team.
- Business development strategies
- Statutory authorities’ liaison

Essential Attributes
- 8+ years within an ecological or environmental consultancy, with a proven track record of technical delivery, mentoring and team leadership, and business development.
- Full or Associate Member of CIEEM
- Commercial and project management skills
- Able to work hybrid / remote in one of the multiple office locations across Scotland
- A passion for nature and a commitment to collaboration
- A degree in a relevant environmental discipline
- The willingness to work as part of a high performing and collaborative team

- Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience and level
