1Accord Living is currently recruiting for Key Workers for services in NW London. We pride ourselves in the provision of accommodation and individually tailored support to young people ages 16-18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing emotional support to individuals and helping to address any worries/concerns through key work sessions.
  • Analysing an individual's needs and drawing up a focused support plan.
  • Providing practical support for individuals such as guidance and assistance with household tasks, personal care and paperwork.
  • Helping children to access education, health and leisure services;
  • Supporting them to pursue hobbies and interests.
  • Supporting the learning of new skills or gaining employment.
  • Providing advice on independent living to young people and teaching life skills, such as budgeting and paying bills.
  • Supporting children's links with their families and local community, and promoting continued contact
  • Understanding their communication needs and adapting your communication to each individual, e.g. sounds, tones, body language.
  • Working with other professionals, such as social workers, police, doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support.
  • Becoming both a role model and companion to the individual and uncovering shared interests, such as hobbies and outings.
  • Hours are flexible and shifts are made available and allocated fortnightly._

Further requirements include:

  • Current valid right to work in the UK
  • Minimum 12 months' of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years
  • Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process.

From £10.50 per hour

  • North West London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

  • Social work: 1 year (required)

Shift availability:

  • Day shift (preferred)
  • Night shift (preferred)
  • Overnight shift (preferred)
