Job Advert Role Description
Mill Garth Hospital is about to embark on an exciting journey. We are looking for dynamic Health Care Assistants to join our nursing team. Mill Garth Hospitalis a 21-bed high dependency recovery and rehabilitation hospital, located in Meanwood, Leeds. We provide active and positive engagement for males aged 18 years and over, who experience a range of mental health disorders.
Knowing that you're making a difference to people's lives is rewarding in itself. But our many roles offer much more than that. As well as helping you grow and develop your talent, we want you to feel proud of where you work and what you do.
As a Health Care Assistant your primary duties will be to ensure you assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well being, dignity and treatment of all patients.
2. Provides practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
3. Observes and monitors the well being of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
4. Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
