DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY


A Warehouse Operative is responsible for handling goods and products that come and go through a warehouse on a daily basis.

They will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Taking deliveries of goods and supplies.
  • Checking for damaged or missing items.
  • Storing goods in line with instructions.
  • Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck.
  • Daily inspection, maintaining and cleaning of forklifts and other warehouse equipment to set standards.
  • Loading goods for dispatch.
  • Stock keeping.
  • Keeping paperwork and computer systems up to date.
  • Cleaning work areas and maintaining health and safety standards in accordance with the policy and procedures of the company.
  • Reporting to the warehouse manager any faults, issues or concerns in relation to the working environment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Forklift license (Must Have).
  • Valid Counterbalance License (Must Have).
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently as well as being able to work on your own initiative as and when required.
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations is an advantage.
  • Must hold an accredited in date forklift license for Reach and Counterbalance Forklift.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Secondary education or equivalent
