Assembly Operative

Assembly Operatives needed for our client based in Kendal. These positions are temporary to start with but have the potential to go permanent after 13 weeks.

39 hour working week

Monday to Thursday Hours - 7:30am to 4:30pm OR 8:30am to 5:30pm

Friday - 8am to 1pm OR 8:30am to 1:30pm

£10.53 per hour

Overtime rates:
Mon-Fri Over 39 is paid at x1.5

Weekend hours up to 5 hours paid at x1.5 and anything after 5 hours paid at x2

Duties include;

  • Handling of Aluminium housings and Copper and Aluminium busbars of varying mass
  • Preparation of assembly materials
  • Light hand machining (Use of grinders / finishing papers)
  • Masking of housings and busbars prior to powder coating
  • Use of hand tools i.e. Deburring tools, spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, rivet guns & inserting machines
  • Assembly of busbar trunking to exact standards
  • Packaging product for dispatch
Previous experience preferred but not essential.
