The Role:


Jointly responsible for managing aspects of the product lifecycle with the buyer to maximise profit through ensuring availability of products in the right channel at the right time; delivering against KPIs whilst remaining agile to change and the needs of the customer.


You will influence both external and internal senior stakeholders and are responsible for representing our business in both brand and culture.


Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with buying, form departmental strategy, product assortment and annual budget phasing, managing the range size within the agreed framework.
  • Work with the buyer to manage pricing across your category to achieve a competitive position without compromising profitability.
  • Input into joint business plans with key suppliers in line with category strategy, setting specific performance targets for stocked & dropship suppliers.
  • Work with the buyer to produce & present department strategy, range reviews and sign offs to senior management; developing commercial ranges that meet our customer's expectations, aligned to the set strategy.
  • Prepare and present reporting in weekly & monthly trading meetings, with communication of trading issues and proposed actions to senior leadership.
  • Create data analysis and insight, with interpretation of data to drive efficiencies and profitable return.
  • The role requires strong leadership skills to embed our culture and facilitate change throughout the team; taking a lead on process improvement to drive efficiencies, establishing and championing best practice driven by profitable behaviour.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Stock Analyst is placing all orders in line with the sales forecast and OTB.
