Job description

  • We are looking for an organised and experienced administrator to join our homedelivery team in Wednesbury.
  • Ideally with previous experience within a Transport department, you will be responsible for all administration tasks for upholsterycustomer deliveries. From booking in deliveries with customers and deliveries & collections of stock into the Warehouse you will be a whizz on Microsoft packages (including excel) your excellent Customer Service skills will translate to both internal and external customers.
    Key Duties and responsibilities
  • Confidently working with Excel to import delivery manifests
  • Excellent customer service levels when contacting customers to arrange delivery of their orders
  • Monitor and update upholstery trackers
  • Producing labels and manifests for upholstery orders
  • Maintain Stock location logs for upholstery items in the warehouse
  • Booking in inbound supplier deliveries and assisting with organisation of the stock whilst being offloaded
  • Confidently liaise with colleagues from across the business
  • Maintain and update all KPI and reporting for upholstery orders and customers
  • To provide effective support to Assistant Transport Manager & Manager to ensure constant improvement in all areas of the operation.
  • Processing of department returns for upholstery orders
  • To ensure H&S requirements are always maintained.
  • Preparation and participation in team meetings and other meetings as required.
  • To promote the company and the work of the CHD team in a positive manner always.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Ideally previous experience within Transport department
Full UK driving licence.

  • Experience with Microsoft office packages
  • Willingness to learn and support the team
  • Organised and strong attention to detail
  • Competent using various IT systems
  • Strong customer service skills
