Architectural Design Manager in Swansea

The post holder will be responsible for creating a positive 'can do' culture that is flexible to change, innovation and collaboration in order to drive and deliver the Council's new build programme through from the building perspective.
With a huge and expanding pipeline of work programmed well into the next decade, we believe the time is right to bring more pre and post contract work in-house. You will be part of and lead a strong team delivering a broad & exciting range of projects and will be at the forefront of the drive for decarbonisation across the council's portfolio.
Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships is key to the role, as is the ability to deliver solutions to ensure the council meets its target to produce new affordable council homes and buildings. The main focus of the post will be to be Building Services Architectural lead for design advice and information, particularly on our journey to Net Zero Carbon and to work with numerous principal contractors, sub-contractors, stakeholders, councillors and tenants to ensure that projects are designed, managed and successfully completed within set timescales and budget.
Ideally, you will be an experienced manager with excellent customer services skills combined with good construction knowledge, holding a relevant professional qualification and ideally have experience of carrying out detailed programme management and/or design work across a range of projects.
