This role directly reports to the Vice President of Business Development for Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a proactive strategy to secure Chemical Development business
- Manage technical and commercial risks effectively
- Build strong relationships with customers capable of delivering high-value projects
- Drive sales initiatives within assigned regions to meet quarterly and annual targets
- Enhance customer relationships to maximize value across all business units
- Participate in industry conferences and events
- Provide comprehensive activity reports to senior management
Requirements:
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Familiarity with API/chemical development processes
- Knowledge of CRM systems, including Sales Force
- Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
- Strong technical selling skills and experience in opportunity management
- Effective planning abilities
- Capability to handle short, medium, and long-term objectives
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the CDMO industry, preferably with exposure to international markets. Experience with Sales Force and data management is essential. A successful track record in DP and/or DS business development is highly desirable, focusing on acquiring new accounts through various outreach strategies. Travel within Europe and occasional visits to India are expected.
