My client is a well-known educational organisation based in the Sutton area, looking for an interim Assistant Accountant on an initial 3-month temporary basis, with a strong opportunity to get extended.


The main responsibilities of the Interim Assistant Accountant are:

  • Providing vital support and stability to the organisations' transactional finance function.
  • Identifying errors and inconsistencies in General Ledger data and preparing correct journals.
  • Responsible for resolving bank statement queries and producing bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the budget preparation and final accounts.
  • Previous experience in working within the educational sector.
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable and Sales Ledger is desirable.
  • An ability to maintain good working relationships within the organisation and external service providers.
  • Excellent communication ability and strong excel skills.
