The Risk and Underwriting Director will be responsible for underwriting all Europe based businesses and globally mobile individuals.

The Director will have working knowledge of all product lines and leverage expertise across international and domestic businesses to effectively price new and existing clients.


The Essential Functions of the role include:
Lead a team of managers in the development of pricing strategies and underwrite offers to win and retain clients while also maximizing profitability
Identify and drive process improvements to increase speed to market on quote delivery and case implementation
Work with Sales and Account Management to review, strategize and analyze renewal and new sales opportunities for a portfolio of clients
Be a team player. Proactively share ideas and best practices with peers. Challenge when appropriate.
Responsible for effectively communicating with Senior Leadership to grow and manage financial results, including the preparation of strategic internal and external directed presentations
Manage portfolio of clients to Strategic Plan and Budget targets by managing client specific rate relief
Ensure client contract compliance by reviewing and approving financial performance guarantees
Work with product areas to assist in the development of program pricing for Commercial clients
Provide management of key internal initiatives and projects
Assist in the negotiation of client contracts and program upsells
Participate in department and company projects
Develop and improve existing best practices for client support and financial modeling
Invest in your own personal development.
